Lapidary Journal Jewelry Artist
Tom was included in an article titled Found Market by Annie Osburn about the market for found-object jewelry,
with other artists such as Roberta and David Williamson and Susan Skinner.
This issue also has an article titled Sawing Essentials by one of Tom's former students, Jewelry Artist managing editor Helen Driggs, which drew upon Tom's teachings for the "Cool Tools and Hip Tricks" column.
This article is responsible for Tom promptly creating his Learn to Saw video & book. It's also great for people interested in making jewelry with found-objects and is available for purchase in our catalog.

Tom broke down the steps and materials needed for creating the Heartbox container brooch included in the title at left so that anyone could understand the process. It was a bit of an effort, but he's glad he had the opportunity to be included in this well-done book on "memory jewelry". It is both instructional and visually interesting plus full of projects by other great artists
such as Kristin Diener, Marlene True, Beth Piver and the author herself, Janette Schuster. It's also available for purchase in our catalog along with the kit that was created in the making of this book.

Belle Armoire, Spring 2009
Tom has had a relationship with Belle Armoire & family since he first appeared in the publication in 2002.This year he made the "Designer Collection" personality profile. The feature did paid homage to him with beautiful photography and great writing by Rice Freeman-Zachery covering all the projects Tom has cooking. Stampington & Co., the company that owns & publishes Belle Armoire, also became a wholesaler of studioFLUX jewelry making kits.
